12041 ELIZABETHTOWN TO RADCLIFF CONNECTOR BURIED ARCH BRIDGE

ELIZABETHTOWN TO
RADCLIFF CONNECTOR

The first ECO-SPAN® arch installed for the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet was part of the construction of the Elizabethtown to Radcliff Connector in Hardin County, Kentucky. The efficiency of the variable-radius arch was perfect fit for the 35’ grade separation required at this site.

Central Bridge installed the 164’ long structure including precast headwalls and wingwalls in two days. Strip foundations bearing on limestone bedrock supported the precast concrete arch system.
