DESCRIPTION

Fullerton Drive Over Lincoln Park Trail
24′ Span x 8.92′ Rise Arch Box

In 2012, the City of Chicago undertook the replacement of 72-year old Fullerton Parkway Bridge over the Lincoln Park Lagoon and adjacent trail. The new bridge improves access to Lakeshore Drive, Lincoln Park, and the nearby Lincoln Park Zoo.The ECO-SPAN® tunnel meets the aesthetic requirements of the Chicago Park District while improving safety and accessibility for bicyclists and pedestrians. Wheelchair access is also provided according to the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Precast concrete façade panels were used to maintain the style of the old bridge. The 24’ ECO-SPAN® Arch-Box is a great fit in this busy park on Chicago’s north side.
