Home Road and Concord Road
28′ Span x 9′ Rise Arch Box
The Delaware County Engineer’s Office elected to install a roundabout at the intersection of Concord Road and Home Road to improve traffic flow and safety in a rapidly growing area. Two bridges near the intersection needed replacement.
The county was able to install the new roundabout, replace both structures with ECO-SPAN® Arch-Box bridges, improve roadway alignment, and improve sight distances all in one project. Use of precast arch units, precast headwalls and precast wingwalls allowed Shelly and Sands to install each structure in one day, helping to minimize road closure time.
