42’ Span x 10’ Rise Arch-Box

Phase II of the Little Cuyahoga River stream restoration project restored over 2,200 linear feet of riverbed. River conditions were improved with the addition of functional floodplain areas, longer channel length with winding stream pattern, riffle pool features, riparian plantings, and diverse in-stream habitats.

The project also included two similar bridges at Kelly Ave. and Third Ave. Clear-span precast arches were chosen to stay out of the main channel. Precast headwalls and wingwalls feature a formliner finish which was stained in the field. The same formliner was used for cast-in-place railing at the job site, creating a seamless transition.
